T.G. Sheppard Home After Heart Procedure

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CelebrityAccess) — Country artist TG Sheppard has been released from the hospital after undergoing an ablation, a procedure designed to address a an irregular heart rhythm.

"I'm thankful for the outpouring of support and prayers. I look forward to returning to the road next week and resuming with concerts," Sheppard said in a press statement from his home, where he is reportedly resting comfortably.

This wasn't Sheppard's only brush with health issues recently and the performer found himself in critical care in 2012 after a bladder infection spread to his bloodstream, increasing his heart rate to dangerous levels. If the current arrhythmia is connected was not disclosed.

Sheppard's next booking is listed as a show at the Palace Theater in Crossville, TN on Jan. 24th. After that, he's slated to appear on the Country Family Reunion cruise on Jan. 31st, and his rep assures us that the procedure will have no impact on his current touring schedule and that he is looking forward to getting back out on the road. – Staff Writers
